
TECHNOLOGY TERMS
Host Server: A server dedicated to hosting a service or services for users.
Area Network: A group of computers and devices that share a common communications line or wireless link.
Connectivity Device: Any device that connects hosts with storage, including devices that connected to other connected devices.
Transmition Media: Physical system used to carry a communication signal from one system to another.
I.P. Adress: Identifier for a computer or device on a TCP/IP network.
Network Operating System: Its a computer that designs primarily to support workstations, personal computers and in some instances, older terminals that are connected on a local area network.
Network Interface Card: A computer circuit board or card that is installed in a computer so that it can be connected to a network.
Networking: Supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest.
I.P. Adress: Is a numerical label assigned to each device.
Node: Connection point a redistribution point or a communication end point.
User: When the person have a username and a password in the device.
Client: Is a place of computer hardware or software that access a service made avaliable by a server.
